Recently, the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held its first ever cornhole tournament, which was a fundraiser for the Blue Jay Pantry, a new space on campus which is dedicated to providing Elizabethtown College students with food items sourced by donations from the community.

The event raised a total of $1,120 for the Blue Jay Pantry, and it was all made possible by community participation. A total of 56 teams participated in this tournament, with student, athlete, staff and faculty competitors.

The SAAC organizes community service projects and promotes a positive student athlete image on campus. Every student athlete has a voice.

Since the tournament, there have been other events in the planning process. On Oct. ober 14, there is a pickleball match on courts 1, 2 and 3 at 8 and 9 pm.
