Welcome to the jungle

Welcome to the jungle

Hi! I’m here for my interview! I know, I know, I’m just very excited to be in the newspaper.  You would think being the sister of the head editor would give you some royal treatment.

Anyway, my name is Belle. My family picked me up from a shelter in Delaware and brought me home. I was in a bad situation at the shelter, as I just had puppies and wasn’t able to get adopted quickly. But thankfully, my new family scooped me up and took me home. I didn’t meet my sister, Emma, until a few weeks later because she was already at college. If my family didn’t wait a week, I would have met everyone all at once. My sister was pretty annoyed that she had to wait to see my cute face.

To make up for it, my sister is home this semester so I get to attend her classes. Yeah, it is her senior year, but having me as a study buddy is so much better than being on campus. Only thing is that I can’t answer the questions for her. I guess my comfort will have to suffice for now. She also is the head editor of “The Etownian,” so I get to help publish articles for the college to see. Oh, I almost forgot, she is a writing tutor in the Learning Zone, so my mom helps students work on their essays to get a better grade.

My favorite activity is to run. Anything that involves running immediately catches my attention.  I would have to say I love chasing squirrels. I’m actually starting to learn to climb trees so that the squirrels won’t have anywhere to hide. They always go up the trees to escape and I think that’s a little unfair, so I’m trying to balance out the odds. I hear that the Elizabethtown College campus has tons of squirrels running around. I’m still begging my sister to take me to campus so I can chase them. Maybe one day…

I also love this toy that holds like three balls that I can tear out and play with the balls. Also, the balls can hold treats inside. I love pulling the treats out and snacking on them. Definitely keeps me entertained during my sister’s classes. Not that I get bored or anything.

Well, I gotta get going. I see a squirrel trying to climb down the tree. There’s no way I’m missing it. See ya!
