Horoscopes: What encouragement do you need to hear in the last weeks of classes?

Hello again, Blue Jays! The semester is rounding to a close, and the end of the year is nearly within reach. Needless to say, life is getting hectic as we approach the last week of classes, final season and, for some of us, graduation. With that, I think we could all use a couple words of encouragement and support. So, what does your sign need to hear to keep pushing on? Use your sun, moon and rising signs for the most well-rounded reading!

Aquarius- Poet and activist Maya Angelou once said, “Lift up your hearts. Each new hour holds new chances. For new beginnings.” Change is scary and inevitable, yet it can be one of the most freeing things in life. Learn to view endings as opportunities for fresh starts, and watch your mindset change for the better.

Pisces- “The great gift of human beings is that we have the power of empathy,” actress Meryl Streep said. Though it can feel overwhelming at times, your Pisces power to relate to and understand the feelings of others is one of your greatest strengths, so don’t let people make you feel less than for experiencing emotions deeply.

Aries- Singer Diana Ross said, “You cannot just sit there and wait for people to give you that golden dream. You have to go out there and make it happen.” Though lying in wait is comfortable, it’s not your vibe—you will feel much more accomplished and fulfilled by boldly going for the things you want.

Taurus- “Nothing is more vulnerable, nothing is more noble than loyalty,” philosopher Cicero said. The loyalest of the Zodiac, you, dear Taurus, are uber-familiar with being faithful and true hearted. There are few better qualities to have, so when times get stressful, try to remember how special it makes you.

Gemini- Physicist Albert Einstein said, “The Important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.” The Gemini mind is an enigma, but not one to be subverted; rather, your natural inclination to question and discover is what makes you so unique, interesting and successful.

Cancer- “I’m taking all the negatives in my life, and turning them into a positive,” rapper Pitbull said. Mr. Worldwide couldn’t have wrapped up this advice for Cancers any better; though you sense the negative aspects of your life before they even come to fruition, it’s important to remember they don’t control you and they can be changed.

Leo- Author Heidi Priebe said, “So stop looking for The One to spend the rest of your life with. Be The One. And let everybody else come searching for you.” As a Leo, you constantly pull attention, but remember that you deserve someone who makes you feel special in a crowded room—even if that someone is yourself.

Virgo- “I have never, ever focused on the negative of things. I always look at the positive,” Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor said. Analytical and critical—even of yourself—you, dear Virgo, are always able to spot what’s going wrong. Try to remember that not everything is an error; rather, they are opportunities for improvement.

Libra- “Everything in the universe is within you. Ask all from yourself,” poet and scholar Rumi said. Fair and just, you, dear Libra, seek balance in every aspect of your life—including your own happiness. Remind yourself that sometimes, happiness comes from within; don’t force yourself to search for sources of happiness in places that don’t serve you.

Scorpio- Author Brianna Wiest said, “The things you love about others are the things you love about yourself. The things you hate about others are the things you cannot see in yourself.” You love others so deeply—so much so that you forget that there are things to be loved about yourself, too. Remember you are worthy of everything good.

Sagittarius- “The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper,” poet William Butler Yeats said. Adventure is in your bones, and it waits for you to capitalize on it—and once you do, you will feel fulfilled, new and refreshed. You’re not meant to be confined; free yourself and you’ll flourish.

Capricorn- Physicist Niels Bohr said, “There are some things so serious, you have to laugh at them.” It’s hard to go against your nature no matter who you are, but especially when your nature is to be focused and serious all the time. Remind yourself that you don’t live to work, you work to live. Take a break and let yourself laugh.

And with that, my time writing for the Etownian comes to a close. Thank you all for reading!
