Women’s Volleyball soars into postseason play

The Elizabethtown College women’s volleyball team played their final games of their regular

season on Saturday, Oct. 29.

The Blue Jays secured two wins that day, beating Drew University early in the day and following that up with a win over Susquehanna University later in the night.

Etown started the day off on the right foot. The team took care of Drew with ease, winning that game in a 3-0 sweep. This convincing win gave the Blue Jays confidence they needed as they readied to play their final game of the season later in the night.

The second game of their doubleheader was more of a nail biter. It took five sets, but Etown was able to sneak out of Selinsgrove, Pa. with another win, 3-2.

With yet another win, the Blue Jays improved to a record of 23 wins and 6 losses, with a 5 win and 2 loss record in conference play. They head into the postseason scorching hot. The team is firing on all cylinders, having won five in a row. They now turn their attention towards the Landmark Conference semifinal game against the University of Scranton on Nov. 2 in Scranton, Pa.
