On Saturday, Nov. 13, the Elizabethtown College women’s cross country team traveled to Newville, Pa. to participate in their 16th consecutive regional meet. The Blue Jays had an all-region performer, sophomore Kelty Oaster, at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional at Big Spring High School. Etown took 9th at the meet with 271 points.
Oaster, a First Team all-conference runner at the Landmark Championships, kept that streak alive for the Blue Jays. The sophomore finished 16th overall in 24 minutes and 3.9 seconds to earn the all-region honors.
Juniors Bridget Kennedy and Madison Webber were both among the top 50 runners. Kennedy was 42nd and Webber took 50th.
First-year Amanda Kauffman was 72nd in her first regional meet for Etown. Senior Brooklyne Wiley finished out the scoring for Etown with a 103rd-place finish.
Isabel Cardi of Dickinson won the meet and Johns Hopkins earned the regional championship.
