Video Game Review: Disco Dodgeball

Video Game Review: Disco Dodgeball

This game may be a bit old, but it is still worth reviewing. “Disco Dodgeball” is a futuristic game that is based on dodgeball, and also happens to include robots. This game is for the Nintendo Switch. The goal of the game is to deflect and catch projectiles, which are disco ball looking dodgeballs that are thrown at you. This is happening as you are attempting to do trick shots and throw disco dodgeballs at your opponents. This game is not based in physics, so some of the trick shots could really be funny.

In this game, you are playing as a robot with a mustache (from here on out, the robot will be referred to as Mustachio), that is propelled on a unicycle wheel.

The goal of the game is to guide Mustachio to dodgeballs, pick them up and eliminate all of your opponents before they can eliminate you. Both Mustachio and Maximus (a name for your opponent) will have power ups which are supposed to help you eliminate the other player.

Be careful, though. Seeing as this is based on dodgeball, the game does have one hit eliminations.

This game is set in a neon patterned dance club, and when you score, the DJ, which could just be an announcer disguised as a DJ, will boom into his microphone.

This game has two different settings: a single system and an online system. It depends on which option you would like to play. In the single system, it can have up to two players. If you are playing online, it can have up to eight players. This game is rated E 10+ by the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board).
