On Sept. 30, 2015, the Elizabethtown College men’s soccer team snatched a 1-0 win to break a 10-game losing streak against rival Messiah University’s Falcons. Freshman Gilbert Waso scored the first goal of the game 40 minutes in to give Etown the lead. The Falcons came out strong, with multiple shots on goal in the second half of the game, all blocked by senior goalie Rodrigo Barrera. The Blue Jays finished out the night strong and won against the Falcons for the first time since the 2006 Commonwealth Conference Semifinals.
