On this Week in Elizabethtown College Sports History: 2015: Etown Field Hockey Beats No. 12 Catholic Cardinals

During the week of Sept. 26, 2015, the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays had a historic upset over the No. 12 Catholic University Cardinals. Etown trailed 2-0 in the second half of the game, but after a goal by junior Kelsey Detweiler in the 46th minute, the Jays were only down by one. Soon after, senior Jacki Hikes scored again to tie the game. The Blue Jays went on to win with an overtime goal by senior Alyssa Aichele. The game was a huge win for Etown because it marked the Etown field hockey team’s 600th win in program history.
