Recently, there has been some tension between the Philadelphia Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman and his scouting department. Tuesday, Roseman responded to the notion that he is going off of his personal draft board to make picks for the Eagles.
He responded by saying that that notion was ridiculous, because every person on the staff has their own draft board, which is used to write reports. The board, according to Roseman, reflects several aspects of every player and his job is to bring everything together to help with the draft.
After the selection of defensive tackle Milton Williams in the third round, cameras showed Roseman offering a congratulations to his staff from across the room.
The tension between Roseman and his staff started after the 2020 draft after Roseman went against his staff and selected Jalen Reagor and Jalen Hurts over Justin Jefferson and Jeremy Chinn. That was after Roseman and his staff all stressed that they were working together.
