Hey Jays, if you are looking for a healthy recipe for a delicious smoothie, but are running low on Jaybucks, or you want to experiment on your own in your home kitchen, you are in luck!
If you go online to the food network, you can find recipes for healthy smoothies for whatever occasion. Whether it be lounging by the pool over summer vacation, a get together with your friends or the holidays, there is a smoothie for everything.
One of the recipes I have tried and have enjoyed is a recipe called “Peach Pie Smoothie.” It has eight ingredients, and it takes 10 minutes to prepare. All you will need is:

1 cup unsweetened frozen peaches
1 tablespoon of local honey, plus more for additional flavor
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch ground nutmeg
Pinch ground nutmeg
1/2 nonfat or 1% lowfat milk
1/2 cup of plain yogurt

All you do with these ingredients is throw them into a blender, blend until smooth and enjoy.
Not only does it taste good, but there are health benefits in the yogurt, peaches and local honey (to name a few).
The yogurt is good for bone health, as it provides calcium, which is good for your bones.
The peaches are a fruit, which is not only healthy for you, but also delicious. Peaches contain vitamin C, which is good for your immune system.
The local honey is good for you because it helps with allergies that can be triggered in a specific area. The local honey helps to prevent those allergies from triggering.
This smoothie is not only delicious, but it is healthier for you than it seems at first glance.
