Harrisburg Farm Show Complex hosts Motorama

This past weekend the Motorama Events Show took place at the Farm Show Complex for the first time since 2020.

A large crowd made an appearance to experience the show that is all about racing. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the show was canceled last year and attendees were excited to finally get back.

It is a unique experience, as it is one of the only times individuals can watch winter races at an indoor facility. This year the event hosted many different types of races, including Arenacross, Go Kart, RC Car racing and even a Battle Bots competition.

The stadiums in the Farm Show Complex are transformed into racetracks for these different types of racing, and over the two-day event, there are eight different styles of racing that compete.

The Autocross, more commonly known as dirt bikes, is one of the most entertaining to watch. The setup of ramps and turns in the stadium provides a competitive track for the racers as well as an incredible viewing experience for the spectators.

Not only was the live racing an incredible experience, but the exhibition of vehicles to walk around and look at was something to see. If you attended the show, you had the opportunity to see some of the fanciest sports cars, classic cars and race cars that car manufacturers have to offer.

The last offering of Motorama was referred to as the “speed show.” This is where vendors can show off their products to car and race enthusiasts. The products range from automotive tools for anyone to specialized racing equipment.

A weekend pass to the show would have set you back $45, which is a small price to pay for how entertaining the weekend was. You could also have reserved seats in the stadiums for an additional cost.

The dates for the 2023 Motorama have already been set for Feb. 18 and 19, and if you are a car or race enthusiast you won’t want to miss it.
