The Elizabethtown College men’s and women’s golf teams hosted the Etown Invitational Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the Hershey Country Club. The men’s team took eighth place with a total score of 336. This is the team’s first top 10 finish of the season.
The top performer for the team was sophomore Evan Krieser. Shooting 11 over par and 82 points, he tied in 26th place. Sophomores Blake Wallace and Brady McLamb tied for 32nd. Seniors Garrett Leib and Josh Diker tied for 44th.
The team will be competing the Landmark Conference Fall Preview Saturday, Oct. 5 starting at 12 p.m.
The women’s team took fifth place with a 511, +227 score.
Senior Helen Rodefeld finished 16th with 23 over par. Senior Amelia Baker followed at 22nd, junior Amy Frasch came in 23rd and in 24th was sophomore Jill Distler.
In both matches, Millersville University took the top team spot. The women’s team will compete in the Landmark Conference Fall Preview Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m.
