Recently, Elizabethtown College hired two new staff in the Athletics department. Their names are Maria Anderson, who is the new Assistant Track and Field Coach, and Liam Dollard, the new Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach. Both Anderson and Dollard started on Jan. 21.
Dollard started his job with no experience at all. This is his first time in this field. He is so excited to work with the athletes and other Athletic staff. He said, “It has definitely been an adjustment but so far, it’s been great working with this team and trying to help our guys improve every day.”
He has some goals for the team, including, but not limited to winning games and conference championships. He provided his method for how he wants our Blue Jays to get to the championship. “I think it’s just as important to help our guys improve every day,” said Dollard.
Anderson got her new position through volunteer work since she graduated from Etown in 2018. She worked as a volunteer assistant before she was on the team. This semester, she has many goals that she wants to accomplish. One of them being, “aiming to win the Landmark Conference, but also to individually develop each athlete to be the best they can be,” said Anderson. She is focusing on working with the long-distance runners.
Congratulations to both of you for starting your new positions, and good luck!
