Excitement rises for the SuperBowl

This Sunday, Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Rams will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56.

The game will take place at SoFi Stadium, which happens to be the LA Rams’ home stadium.

Both teams won in dramatic fashion two weeks ago in their conference championship games. The Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers and the Rams beat the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime.

The focus has been on the quarterbacks, as both have had great seasons, and neither of the two has ever been to a Super Bowl. Joe Burrow, the second-year quarterback for the Bengals, has dominated the field and has become everyone’s favorite quarterback off the field. The Bengals have not been to a Super Bowl since 1988.

In a press conference, when asked how he is getting ready for the big game, Burrow responded, “It just feels like another week. Obviously, it’s the Super Bowl, and we’re going to have to try to eliminate as many distractions as we can but it feels normal.” Burrow is known to be a relaxed figure off the field, and that’s shown through his calm nature about Sunday’s game.

This will be the Ram’s first Super Bowl since they moved to Los Angeles. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who has been with the Detroit Lions until this year, was never able to get to a Super Bowl until joining the Rams. Stafford has been in the league since 2009 and has much more experience than Burrow.

The Rams are favored to win this week, despite a list of questionable players that includes star tight end Tyler Higbee. The Rams have a deep lineup, and many are not concerned about the list of questionable players.

If you aren’t a fan of football, you will still want to watch because of the halftime show. This year the NFL got a star lineup to perform that includes Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and Dr. Dre. The halftime show is expected to start around 8 p.m. but will depend on how long the first half takes.
