Casey K. Moore was recently announced an inductee into the Ira R. Hall of Fame for sports. He was a two-sport athlete during his time at Elizabethtown College, competing as a member of the men’s swimming and soccer teams, and later becoming team captain for both teams.
Moore earned All-American honors in 2001 after touching the wall in 10th place in the 200 free event at the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division III National Championship. Moore also earned a total of nine gold medals at Mid American Conference (MAC) Championships.
Moore was twice named the David B. Eavenson award winner. This award is given to the Most Outstanding Swimmer at the meet. Moore still holds school records in the 100 free (47.05), 200 free (1:42.12) and 500 free (4:41.43) events. He was recently named to the MAC 100 All-Century Team for his swimming accolades.
On the soccer field, he was a starter for all four years, All-Commonwealth selection and an NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region midfielder.
