Athletics Spotlight: Britt Moore Returned to Coach Basketball after Accomplished Career at Elizabethtown

Current men’s basketball Coach Britt Moore came to Elizabethtown College in 2017, making him the 12th coach in the c College’s history. Before coaching at Etown, Moore had done so at the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford and had been an assistant coach for Albright College.

Moore had played in 25 games for Etown his sophomore year in 2000-01. The Blue Jays finished the season 20-6 and became the runner-up for the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Conference.

Upon graduating, Moore worked at Albright College for five years, two of them as an associate head-coach, before moving to Pitt-Bradford. Moore had a good record everywhere he went; while working at Pitt-Bradford, Moore led an impressive team and averaged 13 wins per season as well as reached the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference every season. Also, two Pitt-Braford athletes earned all-conference recognition under Moore’s guidance.

After leaving Pitt-Bradford on good terms, Moore returned to Etown in 2017, this time to coach.

“It was crazy [returning to campus]… During the interview process here, we walked out back, and it was weird seeing my old dorm,” Moore pointed out. “Overall though, it’s been welcoming.”

Moore remains head coach of the Men’s Basketball Blue Jays; more information about his coaching records can be found on the Etown Athletics website: https://etownbluejays.com/staff-directory/britt-moore/228.
