Moving into New Business, the two Senate representatives on the Transition Committee presented the most up to date Constitution based on feedback given at the last meeting.

One of the changes made recognizes a Traditions Committee that would consist of two members from each class club. Funding for the committee would come directly from the institution rather than from the proposed Student Assembly, due to the committee not being a part of the Assembly.

The floor was then opened for any questions or suggestions to one again be made.

One of these suggestions include striking the Business Venture committee as the committee is outlining duties already currently done by the Career Development Center.

Many Senators also expressed the want for more class representation in the Assembly, with each class only having four positions and first years having six.

The Transition Committee will be taking these suggestions once again under consideration in order to further develop the Student Assembly Constitution

Student Senate meets weekly on Thursday at 3:45 p.m. in Hoover 212. Meetings are open to all the campus community.
