Pres. McCormick announces new VP of Operations

Elizabethtown College President Cecilia M. McCormick, J.D. announced Tuesday, Sept. 21 that Bob Kerin will serve as the College’s new Vice President of Operations and Auxiliary Services. 

Before his new role at Etown, Kerin worked for food services and facilities management company Sodexo in many different roles during his 19 years with the company. His most recent role was the Mobilization Director & Solution Design Director in which he oversaw and designed solutions for operations such as cleaning, laundry, grounds and security for senior living and facilities. Before that, he was a Soft Services Framework Subject Matter Expert Lead where he lead a team of operations experts to implement standardized systems of tools, processes and procedures regarding cleaning, laundry, grounds, security, mailroom, concierge, reception, conference room services, space management, waste management and pest control in existing facilities. 

He received a Bachelor of Science from Grove City College in 1997 and went on to receive an MBA in management at West Chester University in 2007.

As VP of Operations at Etown, Kerin will have the responsibility of leading Dining Services, Facilities Management, Athletics, Summer Events and Special Programming, the Campus Bookstore, Print Services and Mail Services.

It is clear that Kerin is bringing an abundance of experience and knowledge regarding operations management, process efficiency, customer relations and leadership. He officially began working at Etown Monday, Sept. 27.
