Hey, I’m Cole! Man, the weather has gotten so nice and warm, I can’t wait to chase my ball around the yard. Though I think I should wait, the grass is still a little muddy… 

Let’s see… I’m one and a half years old. I live off campus with my dad, Bud. He commutes to Elizabethtown College, but because of COVID-19, he decided to just stay home. My dad is a biology secondary education major and he’s a sophomore. I think he likes being home because he has such a short commute to college and in between classes. Plus, he has me as a classmate! 

I’m kinda glad that my dad is home taking classes. When lockdown hit, I took it pretty well. I got to spend time with everyone at home. I got to attend some college classes and help out with homework. I also didn’t have to wait for my dad to come home so I could play with him. However, once things started opening up, I started getting anxious, because my family wasn’t around as much. I got so used to being around them that being alone wasn’t very fun. I was adopted a few months before lockdown, so I haven’t truly been by myself.

Yea, let’s move on. Oh, of course I have a favorite snack. I gotta say, freeze dried liver is the way to go. It’s a little crunchy… and dry… Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. I don’t have a specific flavor in mind, but there hasn’t been a liver that I hated. I’ll let you know if I taste one that ain’t it.

My favorite toy? Definitely my ball. It’s bright red, small enough to chew on and easy to get stuck underneath the sofa. I’m working on preventing that. I hate having to wait for my dad or someone to reach out underneath the sofa to get my ball. Moving the couch myself is next to impossible. I almost got my head stuck once. Thankfully, my dad was there to help out. I think I need to stay small so I can fit underneath and get the ball myself. Maybe I’ll stick to chasing my ball outside, especially since the weather is nice. What do you mean snow on Tuesday? Stupid groundhog and his shadow… I say spring is now. 

Anyway, I haven’t been to campus yet. I live like 30 minutes away so I should make the trip up to campus with my dad. I heard about the Dell and I will love to run around and chase my ball across campus. Maybe if this snow doesn’t show it’s face, I’ll come over and check it out. Wait, we have a day off coming up right? Sweet! Maybe I’ll convince my dad to take me to campus.
