As we approach the halfway point for the month of October, cooler temperatures seem to be holding steady for the coming week. Perfect fall weather, with temperatures in the high fifties to mid-sixties, means perfect opportunities for classic fall adventures. Pumpkin patches, corn mazes and apple picking season is here, and the next few weeks will be the prime time to spend a day enjoying the mild weather.
However, not every day can be completely perfect. On Monday, Oct. 17 there is a 50% chance of rain in the area. Though it should only be a light rain, gloomy weather is always a great opportunity to stay inside and enjoy a spooky movie to get into the Halloween spirit.
While daytime weather may be pleasant, temperatures in the evening are predicted to drop further in the coming week, generally hitting the low forties and high thirties. The full moon from days prior will begin to shift into waning gibbous, reaching the last quarter on Monday, Oct. 17.
With this weather in mind, it may be a good idea to pull out the long sleeves and sweaters this week in preparation for even cooler temperatures to come. Take advantage of mild temperatures during the day before they fall during the night by spending time outside. And, of course, don’t forget to keep an eye out for even more signs of fall as leaves begin to change for the season.
