What’s up Crumb Crew, Nat here serving up your next entry for the Weekly Treat! And what a tasty surprise we’ve all must’ve received on this fine day! The campus hosted a surprise guest on this hot day: an ice cream truck, serving a wide variety of free ice-cold treats. From sandwiches to characters on a stick, they had everything you could ever dream of, all thanks to “The Ice Cream Clown”!
I’ve decided to go on the childhood classic: the SpongeBob Pop. It is a unique flavor combo, with a blend of fruit punch and cotton candy, along with two small gumballs for the eyes of the man himself. It had a very strong citrus taste, mainly of lemon and a hint of cherry. The cotton candy flavor was a little hard to spot, but the creaminess of it was too good to complain about. And the gumballs were a nice finisher for the popsicle to savor the last of the sugary treat.
That being said, since it is ice cream after all, once you have it, you have to eat it while it’s cold and solid. Lingering with it for too long will make it melt. Trust me, I know a little too well how that ends up. A large piece of it fell and not only stained a small part of my clothes, but left a very sticky mess all over my hands. So be careful, or else too much fun in the sun can turn sour. But I will admit, despite the melting mishap, it was a pleasant surprise to walk out of a class and get a taste of some fond childhood nostalgia and warm memories.
But back to the review, 9/10 to the SpongeBob Pop! Like the wise words of the man of the hour: I NEEEED IT!
