Movie Review: Psychological horror with “Bodies Bodies Bodies”

Who knew the way to capture true human nature was through a seemingly harmless party game? In this new slasher film we get both the blood, guts and gore coupled with jumpscares, but also a deeper look into the human psyche. Within the first five minutes of the movie, the scene of the mansion, where the entirety of the film takes place, is introduced. The rich crew of 20-year-olds are having a hurricane party together. After some drinking and partying, things go south when one of the party-goers finds the dead body of the host. They had been playing a “murder party game” that just seemed to suddenly come to life. With the concern of the fast-approaching storm, coupled with the pressure of a killer on the loose, they did what any rational person would do— accuse each other. Tensions are high with everyone’s life seemingly on the line. If they don’t figure out who finished off the host, there will be another body on their hands tonight. This movie tests every boundary of human nature. How far would you be willing to go to stay alive? Would you kill someone to protect yourself even without proof that they are the perpetrator?
