Horoscopes: What Fantasy Book Trope is your Zodiac Sign?

With spring blooming all around Elizabethtown College and finals looming on the horizon, it seems imperative to find time to enjoy yourself. Etown has ample outdoor seating, from the Brossman Student Center to the Dell, so why not find a spot and read a book? A thrilling fantasy novel may be calling you, with all its memorable tropes and plotlines. Let’s see what fantasy book trope your zodiac sign gets.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Taurus prefers slumber over enthralling ventures, it’s too much energy and effort. That’s why Taurus gets the reluctant hero trope, an everyday individual forced into surreal situations which call for bravery. This trope brings the hidden hero out of Taurus, a characteristic they’ve always had.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Gemini are extremely social individuals, but that doesn’t mean they’re always the friendliest. Due to that, Gemini gets the enemy to ally trope, when two opposing individuals join forces and come out closer afterwards. Gemini warm up to those who they see as a friend instead of a foe.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Cancers are empathetic individuals who uplift others instead of themselves. With that in mind, Cancers get the secret heir trope, a hidden royal who one day comes to rule over the people. Cancer’s humble and caring demeanor makes them an ideal ruler.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Leos can blend in with any crowd, even when commanding attention at the same time. That’s why Leo gets the time traveler trope, an individual who either purposefully or accidentally travels in time. Leos’ natural charm and charisma makes it so they fit in any era flawlessly.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22): Virgos aren’t seen as rebellious—they keep their morals high and adhere to structure. It makes sense to give Virgo the sympathetic villain trope, a villain who does wrong for a reason and has redeemable qualities. Virgos will commit acts against their views if it means their loved ones are okay.

Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22): Libra has the innate ability to judge situations impersonally, looking strictly at the facts. Due to that, Libra gets the prophet trope, an individual able to tell the future and guide others on the right path. Libras’ sage advice is crucial to any listener.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Scorpio are able to push their feelings aside and accomplish tasks others would fail to do. This makes Scorpio ideal for the monster hunter trope, a ruthless individual who conquers beasts but has a heart of gold underneath it all. Scorpio has so much to fight for in their life, and they selflessly will.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Sagittarius needs a thrill to keep their interests, since patterns can be dull. Because of that, Sagittarius gets the dragon rider trope, a fearless person who tames wild dragons and rides them with ease. Sagittarius’s explorative and outgoing nature lends well to being a dragon rider.

Capricorn (Dec. 21 – Jan. 20): Capricorn seems like the ideal protagonist: steadfast, determined and goal-oriented. That’s why Capricorn gets the false protagonist trope, someone who the reader believes is the protagonist but isn’t. Capricorn’s drive and desire will deter them from the plot if it goes against their wants.

Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 18): Aquarius have never attempted to fit into the mold, they prefer their individualism. That behavior makes Aquarius get the rebel leader trope, a person who stands above their group and goes against a hierarchy. Aquarius’s personality and ideals make them the perfect leader for a rebellion.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): Pisces are a jack of all trades, but they don’t excel in any one specific task. Due to that, Pisces gets the lucky novice trope, when an individual somehow is able to conquer tasks without prior experience. Pisces’s adaptability and quick thinking make them great for this role.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Aries are always getting into things they shouldn’t, because they’ve never experienced it before. That’s why Aries gets the forbidden magic trope, when an individual has a secret magical talent that’s forbade. Aries’ passion and motivation makes them eager to learn things which are meant to be hidden.
