The month of November can be a turbulent time for many with the U.S. elections, family gatherings like Thanksgiving and the infamous Black Friday shopping spree. It’s time to go inward and take care of your mental health at times like this. I personally do so with video games like the Ace Attorney series by Capcom. Throughout the seven main games and various spinoffs, the series has amassed a wide cast of characters. So, why not see what character your zodiac sign gets?
Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Leos are a fixed fire sign with the tendency to be overwhelmingly flashy. Such a flashy and bold personality matches Maximillion Galactica, a popular stage magician in the Berry Big Circus. However, like most Leos, Galactica hides his true self which harbors shame and insecurity.
Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22): Transitioning service is the main goal of the mutable earth sign Virgo. This transfer of experience from one person to another is seen in the main character Phoenix Wright. Wright, like Virgos, shares his expertise with his two protegees so they can succeed as he once did as a defense attorney.
Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22): The cardinal air sign of the zodiac, Libra, prioritizes understanding. Understanding and reason are seen most often in the honorable Judge who presides over all the cases. The Judge and Libra both act as the scales of justice in their day-to-day life.
Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Scorpios are the fixed water sign of the zodiac, embodying intimacy in their lives. Intimacy and Angel Starr, a confident police detective turned flirty lunchbox vendor, go hand in hand. Starr is self-assured in her appearance and abilities just as Scorpio are.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Sagittarius are mutable fire signs that are known for their wisdom. The advice that Sagittarius gives matches the late Misty Fey who was the master of the Kurain Channeling Technique. Misty, like Sagittarius, gives their guidance onto the most cherished individuals in their lives.
Capricorn (Dec. 21 – Jan. 20): The cardinal earth sign Capricorn leans into the realm of structure and rules for comfort. This need for discipline matches the main antagonistic prosecutor, Miles Edgeworth. Edgeworth and Capricorns need the stability of regulations to ensure nothing, and no one goes awry.
Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 18): Aquarius are a fixed air sign who thrives on their community connections. This friendly and welcoming aura matches the main detective, Dick Gumshoe. Both Gumshoe and Aquarius have the ability to make others happy just by being themselves.
Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): The sign of Pisces is mutable and deals with navigating and determining emotionality. This self-exploration lends itself to magician Trucy Wright. Pisces and Trucy both share a caring nature for others despite experiencing personal turmoil.
Aries (March 21 – April 19): Aries are a cardinal fire sign that charges into who they are headfirst. The determination and strength of Aries lends them the second main character player of Ace Attorney, Apollo Justice. Justice, like Aries, fights through any obstacles to find himself and what he believes in.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Being the fixed earth sign, Taurus means they hold their values close, almost stubbornly so. This stubborn but well-meaning attitude matches the spirit-medium and co-assistant Maya Fey. Taurus and Fey both stick to their hobbies and habits no matter how unorthodox they seem.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Gemini are a mutable air sign who are adept at navigating dialogues and conversations. This communication between the inner self and outer self can be seen in Betty de Famme and Bonny de Famme, twins who are teleportation magicians. These twins and Gemini are both opposites, yet at the same time must cooperate to traverse through life.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Cardinal water sign Cancer’s main priority in life is finding emotional security in themselves and for those around them. The caring and selfless nature of Cancer matches Athena Cykes, a defense attorney with a focus in psychology. Cykes and Cancer both want their environment and themselves to be positive and emotionally sound.
