Every student on campus should recognize the words “Blue Bean” when talking about Elizabethtown College. The Blue Bean is the on-campus hub for all coffee and beverage needs, fueling students with energy for those long days of studying. Blue Bean serves Starbucks, making it even more popular. Since the Blue Bean is such a vital part of campus life, why not assign each zodiac sign their own beverage?
Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): For the ones who occasionally value the confines of a set of rules, you get the “Caffe Americano.” This drink is almost impossible to make wrong, so it’s a go to for people who want it guaranteed to be made the same every time. Never change Capricorns, sometimes the barista needs an easy order.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 –Feb. 18): Aquarius love their independence and individuality, so they naturally get the “Java Chip Frappuccino.” This drink has multiple ingredients like java chips, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. These aspects all serve to give the drink a unique character, just how Aquarius’ like it.
Pisces (Feb. 19 –March 20): For Pisces, this one is biased because I am one, but you get the “Strawberry Acai Refresher.” The strawberries represent Pisces’ sweet and emotional side, a refreshing individual to have around in most situations. Like Pisces though, this drink can be a bit too much for other people’s palates.
Aries (March 21 –April 19): Since Aries are the powerhouse of the zodiac, they don’t get regular coffee. Aries go straight to the source; they get the espresso shot. Aries like to get to business and don’t stop until they achieve their goals. The espresso is the perfect choice for an action driven person, taking little to no prep time but reaping all the benefits.
Taurus (April 20 –May 20): An earth sign deserves an equally earthy drink, which in this case, is the “Matcha Latte.” Matcha matches Taurus in two ways: stability and unchangeability. Matcha’s strong flavor is resilient and stubborn, like the symbol of Taurus, the bull.
Gemini (May 21 –June 20): Gemini notoriously are known for their dual sides, so the “Cappuccino” fits them perfectly. On the top, there’s the light foam and then deeper down is the bitter espresso. Like the cappuccino, Gemini has two layers that are completely different, but both are worth knowing.
Cancer (June 21 –July 22): This highly sensitive sign needs a drink to rely on and that drink is the classic hot chocolate. This cozy beverage is like a hug and always warms the heart, which is exactly what a Cancer needs in trying times. It may be a basic choice, but Cancers value familiarity overall.
Leo (July 23 –Aug. 22): For the ever-bold Leo, they need an equally bold drink, so they get the “Double Chocolatey Chip Creme Frappuccino.” Chocolate is a statement flavor, overpowering any other element in the mix. Leos and chocolate are both the center of attention in any situation they’re in, which leads some to say they’re overrated.
Virgo (Aug. 23 –Sept. 22): As one who often has deep emotions and does not express them, you get the “Teavana Chai Latte”’ Chai is an earthy blend of herbs, complex yet still cohesive. Virgo has that same trait: a multifaceted personality that still blends well.
Libra (Sept. 23 –Oct. 22): The romantic of the zodiac needs a drink equally as dreamy, so they get the “Pink Drink.” This milky beverage has the perfect combination of sweet and bland. Libra values balance in their lives and relationships, and the pink drink has the balance they aspire to achieve.
Scorpio (Oct. 23 –Nov. 21): The depth of Scorpios cannot easily be explained, so a drink as complex as the “Iced White Chocolate Mocha” should suffice. The espresso meshes with white chocolate to create a unique flavor. It is this clash that, like Scorpios, can be seen as a lot to take.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 –Dec. 21): Every Sagittarius has that inner urge for adventure, and what other drink is more adventurous than the “Mango Dragonfruit Refresher?” This exotic fruit spruces up any drink, making it the perfect choice for a thrill-seeking Sagittarius.
