The first time I visited Knock Knock was during the Blue Jay Walk into town in the beginning of the semester. Since then, my friends and I have been back several times to browse the shop! Located right on Market Street, it’s an easy drive or even a walk in my case. The employees are always super kind and willing to help or give an opinion if necessary.
You may think of boutiques as expensive or only carrying one style, but I can tell you Knock Knock has something for everyone. The affordable prices for the great quality of items makes it easy to get lost in your shopping. They have an immense selection of necklaces, rings, bracelets and especially earrings–these are what caught my eye first. Walking from one section of the store to the next, I passed so many different kinds. They offer a lot of spunky, creative earrings that look like miniature versions of things such as food and people. On the other hand, they also carry elegant, statement earrings. So, whether you’re looking for something fun to accessorize your casual outfits or your formal ones, they’ve got it!
An employee of Knock Knock Boutique, Kaitlyn Hartlaub, said that she personally prefers the “trendy, classic gold earrings because they’re not huge statement pieces and perfect for everyday wear.” These, she said, are what she buys the most from the shop. And I agree! The simple silver and gold studs or small hoops are just right for any occasion.
Permanent jewelry seems to be all the rage right now, and recently Knock Knock started offering it! On their website, shopknockknock.com, they describe their permanent jewelry, known as Locked, as “jewelry that is soldered together and can not be taken off. [Their] custom necklaces, rings, bracelets, or anklets are welded on with high quality metal chains with a variety of different styles, textures, and colors.” So, keep an eye out on social media for events that offer Locked, or even send them a direct email requesting an appointment. Consider taking a friend or partner to have this unique experience together!
Aside from jewelry, the variety is the same with the rest of their products. The clothing racks throughout the store showcase every color and every current trend. In the few times I’ve been there, I noticed new items in rotation on every rack! Personally, my favorite part of the shop is the entire section of mugs. Perfect for college students, right?
Now, with the holiday season coming up, I would definitely pay a visit and get some gift shopping out of the way, or even treat yourself to something new. “Knock Knock” may sound like a joke… but I can assure you it’s worth your time!
