Recently, a game was added to the PC repertoire of gaming. It is called Crystalshot, and it involves both water polo and Pegasus. Crystalshot is played by using the arrow keys on the PC to move in the direction you want. The player rides on Pegasus, who is controlled by the arrow keys.

Crystalshot has multiple game modes. There is a “team player” mode, in which you can play as a team with your friends, or with other people in an online version. You can also play in single player mode, in which you will be facing off against artificial intelligence. You can also have a “tournament” mode, in which you and your friends take turns facing off against each other to assert dominance and to prove that whoever wins is the real master of water polo with Pegasus.

There are ways to communicate with other people as well as play the game. The “t” key is to talk to your teammates if you are playing on the “team player” mode. Left clicking the mouse is to shoot the ball into the goal. Each member of your team, whether it be on the “team player” mode or single player mode, will have a random key assigned to them. If you press the randomly assigned key that corresponds to the other player, your avatar will pass the ball to that specific player.

If there is a pass in which the ball gets intercepted, a tiny horn will sound and the player will have to try to get the ball back into their possession. If a goal is scored, an explosion sound effect will be heard. The way to win Crystalshot is to score the most amount of points by the end of the game. If you win, you get to ride Pegasus as he takes a victory lap at the end of the game, and both the player and Pegasus receive a medal. If you lose, you have to get off Pegasus and he just leaves, and does not return until the next game.

Crystalshot is free to download on PC only for now, but developers are talking about making it available across all platforms. More information will come in the fall.
